Getting Started

Welcome to PromoReady! This guide will help you build a strong, evidence-based promotion packet.

Core Philosophy

PromoReady is designed around a simple principle: Evidence beats narrative. Instead of writing a compelling story and hoping it works, you build an airtight case backed by concrete artifacts.

Every claim must be backed by an artifact (design doc, PR, metrics, feedback)
Gaps are highlighted, not hidden - better to know now than in the meeting
AI reviews your packet like a skeptical panel member would

Quick Start Workflow

1

Set Up Your Framework

Define your target level and upload your company's promotion rubric (or enter criteria manually).

2

Add Your Projects

Register the projects you want to highlight. Map each project to the criteria it supports.

3

Capture Evidence

Import documents or manually add evidence artifacts. Link each piece of evidence to projects and criteria.

4

Review Your Coverage

Use the matrix view to see which criteria have strong evidence and where you have gaps.

5

Run Panel Mode

Get a skeptical, adversarial review of your packet. Identify weaknesses before the real panel does.

6

Export Your Packet

Generate a structured, rubric-aligned promotion packet with all your evidence organized.

Privacy Options
Choose how your documents are processed

During onboarding, you'll choose a document processing mode. This affects how sensitive work documents are handled:

Local Browser (Recommended)

Documents processed entirely in your browser using WebLLM. Nothing leaves your machine. One-time ~2GB model download.

Local Ollama

Best performance using locally-installed Ollama. Requires technical setup but offers fastest local processing.

Cloud Processing

Fastest option. Document content sent to servers for processing. Best for non-sensitive documents.

Note: Document import processing is separate from AI features like the chat assistant and panel reviews. Those features use cloud APIs (Claude/GPT-4) and require an API key or subscription. They only work with sanitized summaries, not your raw documents.
