How to Access

Look for the floating chat button in the bottom-right corner of any page. Click it to open the assistant panel.

Assistant Modes

Choose the mode that fits your current need

General Assistant

Ask anything about your promotion journey. Get advice on strategy, timing, stakeholder management, and more.

Example: "How should I approach my manager about my promotion timeline?"

Track Analysis

Understand what's expected at your target level. Get clarity on rubric criteria and what "good" looks like.

Example: "What does 'technical leadership' mean for a Staff Engineer?"

Gap Analysis

Identify what's missing from your packet. Get suggestions on what evidence to gather or what to work on next.

Example: "What criteria am I weakest on and how can I improve?"

Review Prep

Prepare for performance review conversations. Practice answering tough questions and articulating your impact.

Example: "Help me prepare to discuss my biggest project with my skip-level"

Rubric Creator

Get help creating or refining your criteria. Useful if you don't have an official rubric or want to add informal expectations.

Example: "What criteria should I track for a Senior to Staff promotion at a growth-stage startup?"

API Key Required

The AI Assistant uses cloud models (Claude or GPT-4) for high-quality responses. You'll need to add an API key in Settings. This is separate from document import, which can use local processing.
